Essie Sew Psyched | Review + Swatches

Sew Psyched retails for $8.50 and it's the color I've been wearing for several weeks straight because gray is the superior neutral color, obviously. I'm just obsessed with gray nails, ok. That's it.

Not really, read on for a review.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal (Barely Branded) | Review + Swatches

Maybelline's Eye Studio Color Tattoo Metal 24hr Cream Eyeshadow in Barely Branded retails for $6-7 and after seeing countless, positive reactions to these Color Tattoos, I was intrigued, especially towards this shimmery champagne color. Real Techniques, LORAC, Jane, Pür Minerals, Cargo, and theBalm Now In-Stores at Kohl's! | Sightings

I went to Kohl's again and all the new makeup brands (Real Techniques, Lorac, Jane, Pür Minerals, Cargo, theBalm) were stocked and set-up! So excited! To see if your Kohl's has these new brands, you can search on Kohl's website if your store has an item in stock. And if you don't have a Kohl's nearby, you can order the stuff online, because they have some exclusive items.

Real Techniques

LORAC
I was conflicted between the Pro Palette and the Unzipped Pallete, but after swatching them, Unzipped is what I want now! The shadows are more tightly packed so there isn't chunkiness/fallout and the shadows are larger, plus I like all of the colors. ~woo~ There were also a bunch of the "Red Hot" holiday items.

Jane
This was a surprise; I heard Jane was coming to Ulta but I
guess it came to my Kohl's instead (my Kohl's and Ulta
aren't too far apart though, and my Ulta probably has
 no room for Jane)

Pür Minerals

Cargo

theBalm
After swatching Mary Lou-Manizer, I was impressed. Definitely putting the Mary/Betty-Lou Manizer duo on my wishlist ($29, what a steal considering that one -manizer is $24). I also saw the Balm Voyage palette.

Lancôme Color Design Sensational Effects Eyeshadow Singles (Kitten Heel, Latte, Madison Avenue) | Review + Swatches

Kitten Heel - Latte - Madison Avenue

These Color Design eyeshadows by Lancôme retail for $19, and they are not too bad. The shades I have came in the Beauty Collection gift set in Classic. Lancôme claims that these eyeshadows are:
  • Easy to apply
  • Blendable
  • Long-wearing
  • Pigment-packed
These claims are for the most part true, but I wouldn't say these shadows are worth the $19. Read on for a detailed review or skip to the bottom for a list of pros and cons.

Flower Win Some, Rouge Some Crème Blush (Peach Blossom) | Review + Swatches

This cream blush by Drew Barrymore's makeup line "Flower" retails for $8 and has converted me to cream blushes. Flower claims on their website that this blush:
  • Conforms to skin for a soft “powder”-like finish
  • Blush transforms into a soft velvet veil on cheeks
  • Deposits gentle color for a healthy glow
  • Perfect for layering to build your desired look

I swear to god I found out that Flower claimed these about this blush after I wrote my review, and I am impressed and amazed that these claims are actually spot on and not just marketing ploys. The shade I have is Peach Blossom. It has a great texture (not sticky at all) and it's so easy to apply and blend. Definitely a favorite! CoverGirl Clump Crusher LashBlast Mascara (Very Black) | Review

This mascara by CoverGirl retails for $7-$9 and claims to give your lashes 200% more volume with absolutely no clumps. It actually produces minimal clumps and is a decent lengthening and volumizing mascara, but there's one thing that keeps it from being the best. Read on for a detailed review or skip to the bottom for a list of pros and cons.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner (Nude, Light Blue) | Review + Swatches

nude - light blue

These creamy pencil eyeliners by Rimmel retail for about $4-$4.50 and claim to be highly pigmented, "waterproof, smudge-proof, sweat-proof, heat-proof, [and] humidity proof." They come in 10 colors: black, sparkling black, brown, taupe, nude, deep blue, turquoise, light blue, silver, and purple. Read on to see if these claims are true or skip to the bottom for a list of pros and cons.

Real Techniques Starter Set | Review

base shadow - accent - pixel-point eyeliner - deluxe crease - brow

This versatile brush set by Real Techniques was designed by Pixiwoo half Samantha Chapman, and it retails for $18. It is relatively affordable and it's great quality! Included is 5 brushes (base shadow, accent, pixel-point eyeliner, deluxe crease, and brow) and a case for travel or for display. This isn't the best eye brush set, especially for smaller eyes, but the brushes can be re-purposed in multiple ways into your makeup routine, specifically concealer. NYX Butter Lip Balm (Macaron, Red Velvet, Brownie, Panna Cotta) | Review + Swatches

Macaron - Red Velvet - Brownie - Panna Cotta

These tinted lip balms by NYX provide a hydrating wash of color on the lips and retail for $4. I don't know how similar these are to NYX's previous Color Lip Balm line. I have the delectable shades Macaron, Red Velvet, Brownie, and Panna Cotta but it also comes in Lady Fingers, Parfait, Marshmallow, Biscotti (8 shades total). The first thing I noticed was the scent. Ahhh, they smell exactly like the taste of the blue raspberry Dum Dums (my favorite flavor), but they don't taste like anything which I guess helps with staying power... Anyway, read on for a detailed review or skip to the bottom for a condensed list of pros and cons!

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder (Black/Gray) | Review + Swatches

This eyebrow kit by NYX contains 2 brow powders, a wax, and mini applicators for $6. It's pretty hard to find a brow powder geared towards the black-haired audience, especially at an affordable cost, and I'm not one who wants to have brown eyebrows with black hair so I had to try this out. The eyebrow cake powder also comes in dark brown/brown, taupe/ash, auburn/red, brunette, and blonde. I'm quite satisfied with this. NYX Bohemian Chic Palette | Review + Swatches

I had been eyeing Nyx's Bohemian Chic palette for quite a while because it's exclusively matte with a ton of neutral eyeshadows (!!!) and peachy-coral blushes, so when the Labor Day weekend sale sprang up before my birthday, I ordered it among other goodies (which I will eventually review).

I got this for $12.60 since it was 30% off (originally $18) so it's definitely a steal. I'm so happy with palette, ahhh. Anyway, read on for my review or skip to the bottom for pros and cons.
